Administrator Roundtable Recordings
StreetSchool Network™ offers a bi-monthly Administrator Roundtable to provide our school leaders with safe spaces to explore thoughts, prayers, and commonalities. Each of these Roundtables are recorded, but posted on Youtube as “unlisted” to maintain the safe space created for those who participate.

Creative event planning, donor engagement, and continued Covid-mitigation

Development Coordinator – Winston-Salem Street School – Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Megan's Bio:
Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, Megan graduated from LSU with a degree...
in Journalism and later attended Appalachian State University where she received her NC teaching certificate in Middle School English Education. Megan spent her teaching career as an 8th grade English teacher at Blowing Rock School in Blowing Rock, NC, and Forsyth Country Day School in Lewisville, NC. Megan has always enjoyed volunteer work, and when she retired from teaching in 2014 Megan combined her love of education and volunteering, and joined the Winston-Salem Street School Board of Directors. As a member of the Marketing and Special Events Committee, Megan worked closely with Street School Development Coordinator and friend Sylvia Shelton on planning and executing the fundraising events for the school. When Sylvia lost her battle with ovarian cancer, Megan stepped into the role of Development Coordinator and continues the work Sylvia began. Megan enjoys her work in the Development office, but she especially loves being back on a school campus and working with the students. She often steps in to serve meals, assist with club activities, and teach English when the need arises. Megan and her husband Tom are enjoying their empty nest, filling their time with hiking, traveling, and spending time with their grown children.
